CES 2027 Las Vegas: Group Shuttle + Strip Charter Bus Guide

CES 2027 returns to Las Vegas early January. Charter bus shuttle from LVCC to Strip hotels, airport pickups, exhibitor sponsor shuttles. Book the full week.

CES 2027 returns to Las Vegas in early January 2027 — the world's largest consumer-tech trade show, 140,000+ attendees across the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Venetian Expo, Mandalay Bay, and Caesars Forum, plus the satellite Pepcom and ShowStoppers events at off-Strip hotels. If your company is sending an exhibitor crew, a sponsor team, a press contingent, or an executive briefing-center cohort, the difference between a smooth show and a logistical disaster comes down to how you move 20-200 people between Harry Reid International, your hotel block, your booth, and the after-hours partner-dinner circuit.

Why CES needs charter bus, not rideshare

The CES week problem is straightforward: 140,000 attendees converging on a six-square-mile area where rideshare surge pricing hits 4-5x by 8 AM each show morning, taxi waits at Harry Reid hit 90 minutes on opening day, and the LVCC-to-Strip shuttle queues stretch around the block. Show-supplied shuttles run between LVCC and a handful of Strip hotels, but they don't go to Henderson, they don't go to Summerlin, they don't go to your off-Strip Airbnb in Spring Valley, and they don't run on your schedule.

A pre-booked private shuttle solves all of that: dedicated capacity, your schedule, your pickup points, the same vehicle for the whole week. Our Las Vegas charter bus team dispatches CES-week shuttles every year.

The four venue clusters and why route order matters

  • Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) — West, Central, North Halls + LVCC West Hall: the main exhibit floor. Drop on Convention Center Drive (the loop road); the Tesla Loop tunnel under LVCC is closed to charter buses. Allow 15-20 minutes between drop and your first meeting on the show floor — the venue is enormous.
  • Venetian Expo + Palazzo: the Sands Expo halls. Drop on Sands Avenue or at the Venetian porte cochere. About 1.5 miles from LVCC, but driving between them during CES week takes 25-40 minutes.
  • Caesars Forum + Caesars Palace conference areas: drop at Caesars Forum entrance off Sinatra Drive (rear). Walking access to LINQ Promenade.
  • Mandalay Bay Convention Center: South Strip. Drop at Mandalay Bay porte cochere. About 4 miles from LVCC — plan 35-50 minutes during peak.

Most CES weeks, an exhibitor based at LVCC needs to make at least 2-3 cross-venue runs per day for partner meetings. Charter shuttles that loop between all four venues on a fixed schedule are common for sponsor packages.

The airport problem (and how charter solves it)

Harry Reid International (LAS) on CES move-in day (typically Sunday) and opening day (Monday) hits one of its three highest-volume days of the year, alongside NFR week and Memorial Day. Taxi queue waits run 60-90 minutes; rideshare pickup at Terminal 1 / Terminal 3 ground transportation gets backed up to the elevator banks. Group airport transfer charter avoids all of it: the driver meets the group at the Charter Bus / Limo zone (Level 0 at T1, Door 8-12 at T3), loads bags, single drop at the conference hotel.

For groups arriving on multiple flights, the standard pattern is staggered airport runs — the bus makes 2-3 round trips from the hotel to LAS across the arrival window, vs trying to align everyone on a single flight.

Hotel pickup zones that actually work for charter

Strip hotels handle charter bus pickup very differently. Some have dedicated motor-coach zones; others require curbside pickup on a back street. The reliable ones for CES week:

  • Wynn / Encore: charter pickup at the convention center entrance off Sammy Davis Jr. Drive. Excellent — well-marked, low traffic.
  • The Venetian / Palazzo: charter pickup at the Venetian Tower's convention entrance. Loads quickly.
  • Caesars Palace: charter pickup at the Octavius Tower entrance off Industrial Road. Avoid the main porte cochere — too congested.
  • MGM Grand: charter pickup at the Conference Center entrance off Audrie Street. Easy load, easy access to I-15.
  • Mandalay Bay / Delano / Four Seasons: charter pickup at the Mandalay Bay Convention entrance. Closest to I-15 South.
  • Aria / Vdara: charter pickup at Aria's Convention Center entrance. Decent but tight on opening day.
  • Cosmopolitan / Resorts World / Park MGM: charter pickup at the side-street rear entrance — every property has one, ask the concierge.

Off-Strip hotel pickup (Henderson, Summerlin, Spring Valley) is generally easier — most properties have proper motor-coach lanes and lighter traffic.

Vehicle sizing for CES exhibitor + sponsor groups

  • Executive briefing-center crews of 8-14: 14-passenger sprinter or executive limo coach. Premium seating for client meetings on the drive.
  • Exhibitor booth crews of 15-25: 24- to 28-passenger mini-coach. Standard for most company show teams. Luggage bay handles booth gear, demo units, marketing collateral.
  • Sponsor shuttle service for 25-40 guests: 36-passenger party bus or mini-coach. Continuous loop service between hotel and venues works well at this size.
  • VIP sponsor or attendee group of 40-56: 56-passenger motor coach. Reclining seats for the long Strip-to-LVCC traverses, on-board restroom for the morning runs. Browse our fleet for vehicle photos and specs.
  • Full multi-bus shuttle program: 3-8 vehicles in continuous rotation for large exhibitor brand-activations. Common for companies running off-site experiences in Henderson or the Arts District.

The sponsor shuttle package (most common CES booking)

The standard format: company books 1-3 vehicles for the full show week (4-5 days), drivers stay assigned to the same crew, and the shuttle runs a pre-mapped loop on a fixed cadence. Typical itinerary:

  1. Sunday move-in: airport runs all day, hotel-to-LVCC for setup crew.
  2. Monday-Wednesday show days: 7 AM first run hotel-to-LVCC, fixed 30-min loop between LVCC + Venetian + Caesars + Mandalay all day, 6 PM last run from LVCC back to hotels, evening shuttles to partner dinners on demand.
  3. Thursday final day: same morning shuttle, early afternoon teardown shuttle, late-day airport runs.

Five-day sponsor shuttle pricing for a 28-passenger mini-coach with a dedicated driver runs $9,500-$13,500 all-in. Add a second vehicle for full hotel-block coverage at most companies.

After-hours: partner dinners + Strip hotel hops

The CES week social calendar is half the value of attending. Partner dinners at Carbone, Catch, Estiatorio Milos, STK, and the high-end Strip restaurants run nightly Sun-Wed. Group transportation to these venues from your hotel block is what separates a smooth executive experience from a 35-minute Uber wait at 7:45 PM.

Standard pattern: the same charter that ran your daytime LVCC shuttle handles a 7 PM pickup at the hotel, drop at the restaurant, then a 10:30 PM pickup back to the hotel or to an after-party at a Strip hotel bar. Driver overtime + late-return premium applies, but the math beats trying to coordinate 12 senior people through individual rideshares at peak surge.

Booking timeline for CES 2027

  • Now through July 2026: full Las Vegas fleet available, standard pricing. Best window for multi-bus sponsor programs.
  • August-September 2026: most premium hotels' executive-suite charter packages booked. Standard fleet still open.
  • October-November 2026: late-book surcharges, fleet thinning. Mini-coaches book first.
  • December 2026: emergency dispatch only. Many requests declined or routed to non-Vegas operators ferrying in.

Las Vegas fleet capacity is a hard constraint during CES + NFR + Super Bowl windows. Operators routinely sub-contract from Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles fleets to meet demand — those buses still need to roll in two days early.

Pricing reality for CES week

Standard Las Vegas hourly rates run a 25-35% premium during CES vs regular weeks. Sample all-in pricing:

  • Single airport transfer (Harry Reid → Strip hotel), 28-pax mini-coach: $385-$525.
  • Hotel-to-LVCC daily shuttle, 28-pax mini-coach, 10-hour day: $1,650-$2,250.
  • Five-day sponsor shuttle, 28-pax with dedicated driver: $9,500-$13,500.
  • Five-day sponsor shuttle, 56-pax coach with dedicated driver: $11,500-$16,000.
  • Evening partner-dinner run, 24-pax limo coach, 4-hour minimum: $1,100-$1,650.

FAQ

Q: Can our charter use the Vegas Loop (the Tesla tunnel under LVCC)?
A: No — the Vegas Loop is for individual Tesla Model 3/Y vehicles only. Motor coaches and shuttles use Convention Center Drive surface roads.

Q: Does CES provide its own shuttles? Why book private?
A: CES does run a shuttle program between LVCC and a handful of Strip hotels. The queues are real, the schedule is fixed, and the service doesn't reach off-Strip properties, Henderson, Summerlin, or non-partner hotels. For a 25-person exhibitor crew running booth shifts on a tight schedule, private charter pays for itself in productivity recovered.

Q: Can we brand the bus with our company logo for the show?
A: Yes — wraps and decals are common for sponsor activations. Plan 4-6 weeks lead time for full wraps; magnetic door panels can deploy in 1-2 weeks. Our corporate transportation team coordinates with local Vegas wrap vendors.

Q: What about the off-site experience in the Arts District or Downtown?
A: Common — CES brand activations increasingly happen at Fremont Street venues, the Arts District, Allegiant Stadium, Resorts World theaters. Charter shuttle from your Strip hotel block to the activation venue is the standard play. Add 15-25 minutes each way for surface streets vs the Strip.

Q: Can the same charter handle a Henderson or Summerlin off-site executive retreat after CES wraps?
A: Yes — extending the contract for a Friday-Saturday retreat after Thursday teardown is a common ask. The driver and vehicle are already in Vegas; the marginal cost is significantly lower than booking a separate trip.

Q: We have customers flying in on private jets at Henderson Executive (HND) and Atlantic Aviation FBOs. Can the charter handle FBO pickups?
A: Yes — FBO pickups are standard. Our dispatch coordinates ramp access with the FBO. Confirm tail numbers and arrival times 48 hours ahead.
