About Discovering Twin Hills, Alaska: An 18-Passenger Mini Bus Adventure

Nestled in the heart of Southwest Alaska lies the quaint village of Twin Hills.

This hidden gem, with a population of just over 70 residents, offers an intriguing blend of native culture, natural beauty, and a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere.

The best way to explore this unspoiled paradise?

Aboard an 18-passenger mini bus which offers both comfort and convenience.

Our journey begins at Dillingham Airport.

As you step off your flight onto Alaskan soil, the awaiting 18-passenger mini bus is ready for your adventure.

With ample space for everyone, it provides a convenient and comfortable mode of transport to navigate through the rugged Alaskan landscape.

Our first stop is Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, about a two-hour drive from Dillingham.

This sprawling sanctuary covers over four million acres and is home to diverse wildlife including brown bears, moose, caribou, and countless bird species.

The mini bus makes frequent stops along the way allowing passengers to capture unforgettable moments on camera or simply enjoy nature’s spectacle.

Next on our itinerary is Aleknagik State Recreation Site.

Here you can enjoy a picnic amidst stunning surroundings or take part in recreational activities like boating or fishing on Lake Aleknagik's pristine waters.

The mini bus then heads towards Wood-Tikchik State Park - the largest state park in America.

It's an ideal spot for camping under starlit skies or hiking through forests teeming with wildlife.

In between these natural wonders are local favorite spots such as Twin Hills Village Store where you can pick up souvenirs crafted by local artisans or grab a quick snack before heading out again on your adventure.

For food enthusiasts wanting to sample local cuisine, there are several options available in nearby Dillingham town.

Head to Bristol Bay Smokehouse for their mouth-watering smoked salmon or try the fresh seafood at D&D Restaurant.

The mini bus provides easy access to these eateries, ensuring you don't miss out on any gastronomic delights.

As evening falls, the mini bus turns into your ticket to Twin Hills' nightlife.

A must-visit is The Moose Bar in Dillingham.

This friendly local pub offers a selection of beers and spirits along with live music performances that keep the atmosphere lively.

For history buffs, a visit to Samuel K.

Fox Museum in Dillingham is highly recommended.

It houses a collection of artifacts and exhibits showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Alaska's native communities.

There's also Bristol Bay Historical Society Museum which offers insights into the region's fishing industry and its influence on local life.

Another institute of interest is the University of Alaska Fairbanks Bristol Bay Campus located in Dillingham.

Offering programs focused on Alaskan native studies and natural resources, it plays a vital role in preserving local culture and environment.

The 18-passenger mini bus journey concludes with a night-time drive back.

Common Questions

Everything you’d want to know before you book.

How early should the bus arrive before our event?
Drivers typically aim to be on-site 10–15 minutes before your scheduled pickup. For weddings and proms where photos are involved, build in extra buffer in the booking — every minute the bus is on-site counts toward your hours.
Do you have a smoking policy?
No smoking, vaping, or open flames anywhere on the bus. Most contracts include a $250–$500 cleaning fee if smoking is detected. Step off the bus during stops if anyone needs to smoke.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) plus ACH bank transfer for larger group bookings. Some affiliates also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay through the booking link.
Do prices change for weekends or holidays?
Yes. Friday and Saturday rates are higher than weekday rates, and major holidays (NYE, July 4th, Halloween, prom Saturdays) carry premium pricing. The quote you see already reflects the day you selected — no surprise add-ons.
Can the bus pick up at multiple addresses?
Yes. Add up to 4 pickup addresses on the quote form. The driver will collect the group in sequence based on the order you list. Spread-out pickups may add time to the booking, which the quote calculates automatically.
Is there an age requirement for renting a party bus?
The primary booker must be 21+ to sign the contract and put down the deposit. Anyone in the group can be any age, but if alcohol is on board the entire group must be 21+ and we may require a chaperone for under-21 groups.
